Amazon Rest Estate
Overview
the property in one pageTwenty minutes from Leticia, where the river breathes slowly, this estate was built in 2019 from certified timber and regional stone. Five bedrooms under four-meter ceilings, a private dock on calm waters, and the jungle as the only neighbor: a place designed for deep rest that never surrenders the studio's satellite connectivity.
The file that follows gathers everything needed to truly know it: its spaces one by one, the place around it, the complete arithmetic — including the numbers others don't show —, its verified papers and, at the end, its story.
“We included it in the Guide for a simple reason: it is the estate that best distills what the Amazon offers to those seeking silence with dignity. Not the largest on the river — the best thought-out.”

The character of the place
A quiet vereda of large estates and distant neighbors. At night, the only sound is the river. The area's safety rests on its community: everyone knows everyone — and a stranger is noticed.

What you should know
The Guide tells what others omit: the final approach is 800 meters of unpaved road that demands a pickup in the rainy season. The satellite internet is stable but not instant. And the river, in flood season, rises up to three meters — the dock and the house were built counting on it.

The story
the Guide's voiceIt was built in 2019 by a couple of biologists who spent a decade studying the flooded forest and decided to stay and live in it. Every decision in the house tells that story: the tall ceilings against the heat, the kiosk aimed at the sunset, the dock where they moored the laboratory's boat.
For three years the estate was field station and home at once. That is why the studio has the best connectivity on the river — and why the inner trails carry tree names, hand-written on cedar boards that are still there.
Today its owners return to the world of classrooms, and the estate seeks someone who understands what they are receiving: not a house by the river, but a way of being in the Amazon.
A morning here
“The day begins at 5:40, when first light crosses the eastern balcony. Coffee from the pantry, bare feet on warm wood, and the river still free of motors. At seven, perhaps, a canoe passes. That is the whole agenda.”
